THE IMPACT OF FREQUENCY FLUCTUATION IN POWER LINES ON HYBRID ACTIVE POWER FILTER

Summary. The article presents an analysis of the impact of changes in power line frequency on the hybrid active filter operation. Simulations with changes in frequency from 47 to 53 Hz have been done and the effect on the quality of the harmonic filtration has been examined. Results for the hybrid system were compared to the results for the passive filter. Moreover the harmonic attenuation coefficient with the changes in the frequency of harmonics has been analyzed.

PARAMETERS ESTIMATION OF THE 7.5 MVA INDUSTRIAL TURBOGENERATOR BASED ON THE STATIONARY DC DECAY TEST

Summary. In the paper there is presented measurement-based model parameter estimation in both d and q axis of a synchronous generator. The tests were carried out while the machine was at standstill. This is an interesting measurement method, especially when other tests are difficult to be performed. Optimisation of the appropriately formulated objective function was used for determining the considered model parameters. Matlab-Simulink package was used for computations.

ELECTRIC CAR AS ENERGY STORAGE FOR PROSUMER ENERGY INSTALATIONS

Summary. The paper presents the possibility to convert a car with an internal combustion engine to an electric car. Results of the calculation and analysis of the environmental effect of the electric car are showed, which batteries (lead acid) are charged from traditional power system. The paper presents also the possibilities of using currently used technologies of batteries from electric vehicles. Influence of different working cycles (charge and discharge) on the life cycle of batteries and storage costs, depending of life cycles and the battery technology, are shown.

SMART HYBRID – CHEAP HYBRID DRIVE FOR CARS

Summary. Smart hybrid drive was designed to reduce fuel consumption and to avoid penalties, paying by cars producers, for excess CO₂ emission (above the EURO limitations) after 2014. This drive was designed in two variants: 1) Mild Hybrid – ICE preheating powered from lead acid and Start&Stop system powered from supercapacitor; 2) Modul Hybrid – electric motor witch permanent magnets coupled with the ICE powered from supercapacitor. Mild Hybrid drive allows to reduce fuel consumption in ECE15 cycle about 22%, in NEDC cycle about 7%. Modul hybrid drive allows to reduce fuel consumption in laboratory city drive cycle about 23%.

BEARING CURRENT PATH IN CUTTING DRUMS OF HEADING MACHINES

Summary. The paper are presented the causes of bearing currents forming during motor direct startup. On the figure 1 are shown waveforms of shaft voltage and bearing current. Examples of bearing races damages of cooperating rolling bearing elements are presented. The paper describes the methods for bearing currents elimination in cutting drums of heading machine. Conclusions drawn are presented in chapter 4.

CONSTRUCTION ANALYSES OF EMI FILTER ON INSERTION LOSS PROPERTIES FOR DIFFERENTIAL MODE INTERFERENCE

Summary. Conducted noise reduction efficiency of EMI filter is expressed by insertion loss characteristics. The insertion loss characteristics of EMI filter are measured for common mode (CM) and differential mode (DM). The measurement takes into account parasitic parameters of filter’s elements. Insertion loss characteristics are measured according to standard CISPR 17 [1]. The paper examines the influence of main and parasitic parameters of EMI filter on insertion loss characteristic for differential mode DM noise. The analyses of EMI filter construction was carried out without influence of parasitic coupling between filters’ elements. Moreover analyses was carried out for assumption that, geometrical dimension and position of filter’s elements are similar.

A COMPARISON OF SELECTED OPTIMAL POWER FLOW ALGORITHMS

Summary. The paper presents several optimal power flow algorithms. The selected algorithms have been implemented and tested, and a number of numerical experiments were performed for given power system states.

CONCEPTUAL 1-PHASE ACTIVE POWER FILTER SIMULATION MODEL IN ORCAD-CAPTURE & PSPICE ENVIRONMENT

Summary. In this paper simulation conceptual model in OrCAD-Capture & PSpice environment of 1-phase active power filter (APF) designed to eliminate the harmonic current source i_S and power factor correction was presented [7, 11, 12]. In this model filter output stage deliberately idealized into a current source, in order to eliminate the influence of the inverter parameters to work a control algorithm that calculates the present pattern value of compensation current i_k. Therefore, the model may also be useful in the beginning stage of testing and modifying the control algorithm. The paper presents an exemplary application of the proposed model to analyze some static and dynamical properties of the active filter, and its sensitivity to changes in selected parameters of control algorithm.
